Ella Mai has a special announcement to make on ABC’s Good Morning America broadcast Thursday (Oct. 24): She will be revealing the nominees for four categories of the 2019 American Music Awards, starting at 8:30 a.m. ET.
Following her appearance, the American Music Awards will announce more nominees on their social media accounts, including their recently launched TikTok channel. But Mai’s work isn’t over, as she’ll later head to Billboard’s social accounts to announce even more nominees from 9:30 to 10 a.m. ET.
A complete list of nominees for each category will be available by 10 a.m. ET.
The nominees for the American Music Awards are strategically based on “key fan interactions as reflected on Billboard.com, including streaming, album and digital song sales, radio airplay, social activity and touring,” according to the press release. “These measurements are tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound, and reflect the time period of September 28, 2018 through September 26, 2019. The American Music Awards winners are voted entirely by fans.”
The 2019 American Music Awards will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Nov. 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
