Gospel music star Yolanda Adams (who Rhone worked with in her days at Elektra Records) will also perform and former U.S. attorney general Eric Holder will present at the annual event on Oct. 10 in Santa Monica. Joining them on the lineup? A surprise performance from one of Rhone’s “most iconic groups,” according to a press release — among the possibilities, pop-R&B legends En Vogue come to mind.

“We are deeply grateful to these talented artists for lending their voices to support City of Hope’s delivery of the next generation of cancer and diabetes cures and care,” said City of Hope president and CEO Robert Stone. “Sylvia Rhone is a music industry legend, and we are thrilled to honor her with our most prestigious award.”
