EVERGLOW Hit New Peak on World Digital Song Sales Chart With Three Songs In Top 10

EVERGLOW earned one of the biggest chart starts for a K-pop girl group with "Bon Bon Chocolat" and now their sophomore release is proving even bigger results with "Adios."

Upon releasing their debut single, EVERGLOW earned one of the biggest starts on the charts for a K-pop girl group — an achievement the band described as “the happiest moment” — and now their sophomore release is delivering even bigger results.

Each of the three new songs released by EVERGLOW last week enter the Top 10 of Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. The pack is led by new single “Adios,” which debuts at No. 2 on World Digital Song Sales and marks a new peak for the group on the chart. “Adios” sold 1,000 copies in the week ending Aug. 22, according to Nielsen Music. This is the highest-charting single from a K-pop girl group since MAMAMOO hit No. 2 with “Gogobebe” in March.

Further on down the tally, new EVERGLOW song “Hush” debuts at No. 8 on the chart, selling about 1,000 copies as well, followed by “You Don’t Know Me” at No. 10.

“Adios” sets a new best sales week for EVERGLOW in America, outselling the group’s debut single “Bon Bon Chocolat” (which peaked at No. 5 earlier this year) in terms of first-week totals. “Bon Bon Chocolat” has sold 5,000 copies in the U.S. to date.

Altogether, the continuing U.S. chart success for the newly-debuted sextet makes sense given the group’s strong and empowering image that tends to connect more with Western audiences. In the similar vein to BLACKPINK, (G)I-DLE and ITZY — all of whom hit the K-pop scene with confident, high-charting singles — EVERGLOW continues forward with their fiercely fiery concept and hard-hitting, military-march sound with a kissoff anthem like “Adios.”
