Following in the footsteps of Chuck D of Public Enemy of Prophets of Rage as artist ambassador for the inaugural 2018 initiative, it was announced earlier this year that two-time Grammy Winner Fantastic Negrito would serve as the 2019 ambassador for Independent Music Week.

“Fantastic Negrito started playing on the streets, and independent venues gave us our first shot. In a business that doesn’t know what to do with artists that don’t fit in a box, they’re on the front lines, bringing great live music to people everywhere,” said Xavier Dphrepaulezz (a.k.a. Fantastic Negrito) in a release.
